Altius Engineers

We set up shop at 368/1, Alapakkam Maduravoyal Main Road in the Porur area. It’s a decent spot, right on the main road which makes it fairly easy for trucks to get in and out for deliveries. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a practical space for our engineering work. Inside, we have a section for the machines and a small corner with a couple of desks for the daily paperwork. It’s often quite dusty because of the grinding and cutting we do, but that’s just expected in this line of work. We are a small team here. Most of us live nearby in the Alapakkam area, so we don’t have to commute too far in the morning. We spend our time working on different mechanical components and steel structures. It’s a lot of measuring and welding and then checking the finish to make sure it's alright. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or a big corporate vibe to our place. We just take the jobs as they come and try to do a decent job of them for the clients. Some days the heat in the workshop is pretty tough, especially in the late afternoons, so we usually take a few more tea breaks then to stay cool. We’ve been here for a while and have gotten to know the other business owners along the main road. It’s just us doing our daily tasks and keeping the machines running.
