Alpha Arts & Science College Nandanam

Our college is situated in Nandanam, specifically at number 16 on 3rd Cross Street. We are quite close to the Saidapet West CIT Nagar area. It’s a busy little pocket of the city. The street we are on is a bit narrower than the main roads, so it gets pretty crowded when the students are arriving or leaving for the day. There are usually a lot of bikes parked along the edges of the road. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. The building is a typical college structure for this neighborhood, with multiple floors and plenty of stairs. It isn't a brand-new glass tower; it has that older, sturdy concrete look that you see all over Chennai. We don't have a massive campus with rolling hills, just a practical space where classes happen. The staff rooms are usually full of papers and books, and there is always someone looking for a missing file or checking a schedule. It feels very local here. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming in through the windows, like the street vendors or the traffic from the nearby main road. We don't try to act like a big corporate entity. We are just a local college doing our daily work. Everyone knows each other, and it’s a pretty straightforward atmosphere. We just focus on the classes and getting through the academic year without too much trouble or fanfare. It’s our little corner of Nandanam.
