Trixie Fashions

Trixie Fashions is tucked away in the Ekambar Naiker Industrial Estate over in Alapakkam. Being at No. 1a Baby Ammal Salai means we’re right in the middle of all the manufacturing noise and constant movement. It’s an industrial area, so you shouldn't expect anything pretty or polished. There’s always the sound of machines humming or trucks backing up nearby. We make clothes here. It’s mostly sewing, cutting patterns, and checking for loose threads. The heat can get pretty bad in the afternoons during the summer, but we have some old fans going to keep us moving. We’ve been here for a good while now. Most of the staff have been with us since the very start, so we’re more like a small family than a regular company. We don't have a big front desk or a receptionist to greet people. If someone knocks, one of us just goes to the door to see who it is. We handle different fashion items, mostly stuff that people wear every day. It’s a lot of work to get the stitching just right, but we don't complain about the hours. We just put our heads down and finish the bundles of fabric. Sometimes we have to stay late if a big shipment is due the next morning. Alapakkam is a busy place, and we’re just one small part of it, doing our bit to get things made and sent out.
