Akshaya Traders

Akshaya Traders is over on Yadaval Street. That is in Thiruverkadu, at number 18. It is a quiet enough street most days of the week. We handle various trading goods here. Our shop is just a regular building on a regular street. We have got shelves full of different items. It is not always perfectly organized inside. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We do not mind. We like chatting with the people who come into the shop. Most of them are from around this neighborhood. Thiruverkadu has changed a lot over the years. It is getting much busier now than it used to be. We open the shutters around nine in the morning. The air is still a bit fresh at that time. By midday it gets very hot. We have a small fan that hums all day long. It does not do much but it helps a little. We are not a big chain store. We just do our business quietly. There is no marketing team or anything like that here. It is just us. We write down all the sales in a big ledger book by hand. Sometimes the ink smudges on the paper. We have known the family in the house next door for a long time. They come by for a talk sometimes. It is that kind of place. We don't have a big mission statement.
