Mookambigai Leathers

Over in Agaram, we have our place at No. 33/ 1 Chinaswamy Street. Mookambigai Leathers has been here for a while. It’s a quiet enough street, at least compared to the main roads. We deal mostly with leather, so you can usually smell it as soon as you step inside. It’s a scent we’ve grown very used to over the years. The shop is a bit small, and we have hides stacked up in various corners. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend most of our time cutting and checking the leather. There isn't a lot of space for anything else. We have a small desk where we handle the bills and talk to anyone who stops by. It’s a bit dark inside because the windows are small, but we have some bright lights over the worktables. People in Agaram know the street well. It’s a local neighborhood and we feel like we fit right in. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on being here and doing the work. If you find yourself on Chinaswamy Street, look for the leather place. It’s a humble spot, nothing flashy, just a group of people working with their hands. Sometimes the stray dogs sleep under our awning when it rains. It’s a simple life for us here and we don’t mind it.
