Adhiga Instruments Company

Down here on Poomagal 4th Street in Ekkattuthangal, things stay pretty busy for us at Adhiga Instruments Company. This part of Chennai always feels like it is moving too fast. Our shop is tucked away at No. 11/108, and if you aren't looking closely, you might drive right past it. We deal with a lot of different measuring tools and instruments every single day. It is mostly technical stuff that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken gauge and expects it to be fixed in five minutes, which usually isn't how it works. We spend a lot of time sitting at our benches under these bright lights, looking at small parts. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and get through the pile of work. Most of the people around here know us as the place to get their gear checked. We have been in Ekkattuthangal long enough to know all the tea stall owners nearby. The street can get a bit cramped when the delivery vans try to squeeze through, but we make it work somehow. We don't have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s more of a place where people actually work with their hands. We just focus on the instruments that come across the counter and try to keep things organized, even if the desk looks messy by the end of the day. It is just us and our tools.
