Our place is in the Shivalaya Building, specifically unit C-703. If you’re coming down Ethiraj Salai in Egmore, you can’t miss the building, though finding the right floor sometimes takes people a minute. It’s a bit of a maze in here. We’ve been operating out of this room for a long time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy to worry about that right now. We have a few desks crammed in here and a lot of filing cabinets that are probably fuller than they should be. Egmore is a central spot, so it's easy for people to drop by, though parking is always a nightmare around here. Usually, one of us is out running errands while the others stay back to handle the calls. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just a handful of us doing the day-to-day tasks that keep a business running. We drink a lot of coffee and talk about the cricket scores when things slow down for a minute. The view from the seventh floor isn’t half bad, you can see quite a bit of the city from the hallway window. We’ve grown used to the hum of the air conditioner and the sound of the city outside. It’s a practical space for practical work. Nothing more, nothing less. We just show up and do what needs doing until it’s time to head home. Our neighbors in the building are mostly lawyers and consultants who keep to themselves.
