Our address is 2-A, 4th Nataraja Gramani Garden, over in Thiruvottiyur. It is up in the northern part of Chennai, near the coast, so we get a bit of that salty air coming in through the windows sometimes. The building isn't huge, but it fits the few of us who work here just fine. We have a small yard out front where some of the guys park their bikes during the day. The neighborhood is mostly houses with some small businesses mixed in, so it feels quite local and friendly. Inside, we have our desks and a small area for keeping all our files. It gets quite warm in Chennai, as everyone knows, so the fans are almost never turned off. We mostly deal with local orders and paperwork that comes in from other branches. It is a simple routine: we get in, check what needs doing, and get to it. Sometimes we have tea breaks under the tree outside when the sun isn't too harsh. We don't have a big corporate sign or anything like that, just a small nameplate so people know they are in the right place. Most people around here know who we are anyway. We just keep our heads down and do the work that is expected of us. It is a quiet life in Thiruvottiyur, and we are okay with that. There is always something to organize or a phone call to return, so the days usually go by pretty quick for us.
