You can find us at 116, Thambu Chetty Street. If you have ever been down this particular street, you know how packed it gets with people and carts. It is one of those old parts of the city where the buildings are tall and the lanes are very narrow. Moving plastic raw materials and finished goods in and out of here is always a bit of a struggle with the traffic. Aarathy Engineering Plastics has been squeezed into this spot for quite some time now. The building has that old-world feel, and the stairs are a bit steep if you are carrying boxes. Inside, it often smells like heated polymer and machine oil. We have these molding machines that run for hours at a stretch. It gets very humid, especially during the monsoon season when the air just hangs heavy in the shop. We do not have a big corporate team; it is just us and a few workers who have been with us through everything. Most of our day is spent checking dimensions and making sure the molds are set right. There is always a pile of crates waiting to be moved out to the street. We do not do any marketing or have a website that looks like it belongs to a big company. We are just a small engineering outfit on a busy street. People come in, we talk about the job, and we get it done.
