A. R. K Leathers

Our place is on the 1st floor at No. 32 Tiruvengadam Street in Periamet. If you know Periamet, you know how crowded it gets with all the leather trade happening everywhere. We have been in this building for some time now. You have to walk up the narrow stairs to get to us, and it can be a bit of a squeeze if we are moving large bundles of skins. The office at A. R. K Leathers is mostly filled with samples and ledger books. We try to keep the dust off the finished pieces, but in this part of town, it is a constant battle. The windows look out over the street, and it is never quiet out there. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking the grain of the leather we get in. Sometimes the leather isn't what we expected, so we have to sort through it piece by piece. It takes a lot of time, and our backs usually ache by the end of the day. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just basic leather work and trading. The 1st floor gives us a little bit of space away from the main road traffic, but you can still hear the horns honking all day long. We have a small table where we sit to eat our lunch and talk about the work. It’s just how things are at No. 32, and we have grown used to the pace here.
