A. B. C. Apparels Pvt. Ltd. is located inside the Krishna Complex, right on Poonamallee High Road in Arumpbakkam. If you know the area, it's No. 889. The building is always busy since there are so many shops and offices around. We spend most of our time dealing with batches of clothes and checking over the details. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but we are used to it by now. The workspace isn't huge, but we make it work with the desks and the storage space we have. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the congestion on the main road, but that's just part of being in this part of town. We have a small group of people working here. Most of us have been around for a long time. We don't really do much advertising; people usually find us because they know the complex or heard about us from someone else. We handle the paperwork and the production side of things right here. It’s a straightforward setup. We have our tea breaks in the afternoon when it gets quiet. Then it’s back to the sewing and the sorting. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation where we try to keep things organized. We handle the shipments as they come and go. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of numbers.
