T.I.M.E Kids

You can find us at the Telc Compound, specifically on 4th Street in Anna Nagar. Being right near the Bazaar in Chengalpattu means there is always a lot of activity around the gates. It’s a handy spot for parents who are already out doing their shopping or headed to work. The building itself is No. 5/46, and it’s a place where we’ve set up some simple rooms for the kids to spend their day. We do not have any big, shiny signs or anything that looks too corporate. It’s just a local spot where the floors get a bit dusty from the street and the kids leave their shoes in a big pile by the entrance. We spend a lot of time just managing the noise and making sure everyone stays in their seats when they are supposed to. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building pretty hard, so we keep the curtains pulled mostly. It’s a lot of small chairs, plastic buckets of blocks, and half-used packs of crayons scattered around. We know most of the people who walk by every day. It’s not a complicated operation. We just open up in the morning, do the activities, and wait for the parents to come back after the bazaar gets busy in the evening. It’s just how things go here in Chengalpattu, keeping it simple and local for the neighborhood families who need a place nearby.
