J K Nursery And Primary School

If you go down Dr Apj Abdul Kalam Street in Pudu Edaiyur, you will find our school. We are situated in the Mamallapuram area, not too far from the main parts of Mahabalipuram. Being a nursery and primary school means we have a lot of very young children around most of the time. There is a lot of noise during the day, mostly laughter and the sound of kids running around. The building itself is quite simple and we try to make it comfortable for the little ones. Many of the families who live nearby send their children here because it is convenient and they know us. The street can be quiet at times, but in the morning and afternoon, it gets busy with parents dropping off and picking up their kids. We focus on the early years, so there are a lot of basic lessons and activities happening in the classrooms. Sometimes the heat in this part of Tamil Nadu is a lot, so we make sure the rooms stay as cool as possible for the children. We don't have a lot of big fancy equipment, but we have enough for the kids to learn their first lessons. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution because we see the same faces every day. The local neighborhood is tight-knit, and our school is just one of the many small places making up the local landscape. It has been here for years.
