About Sunita Sarewal Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
You can find me at 1407 in the Pushpac Complex, Sector-49-B. It’s a residential complex, so the atmosphere is quite different from a downtown office. I’ve set up my architectural practice here because it’s convenient and keeps me close to the kind of projects I often work on. The office is essentially a converted room with plenty of shelving for my books and technical manuals. I’ve been an architect for a long time, and I’ve learned that you don’t need a fancy address to do good work. Most of my day is spent at the desk, either drawing or talking to clients on the phone. Sometimes they come over to the complex, and we sit around the dining table to look over the latest versions of their plans. It’s a very informal way of doing business, but it works well for me. There’s a lot of natural light in the morning, which is the best time for drafting. By the afternoon, the complex gets a bit busier with people coming home from work and kids playing in the common areas. It’s a nice background noise. I don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People usually hear about me from their friends or neighbors in the sector. I just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the client is happy with the layout. It’s a quiet, steady life here in Sector-49-B, and that suits my style of working perfectly. I’ll keep doing this as long as there are sketches to be made.
