Singh Kamal Deep Architect

Kamal Deep here. I’m an architect based at House No. 1693 in Phase-7. I’ve been using this space as my office for a long time. It’s a typical residential house that I’ve converted to fit my needs. There’s a big table for maps and a computer for the more modern stuff. Phase-7 is a nice neighborhood, and I like being centrally located here. Most of my work comes from word of mouth. People in the area know I do decent work and don't charge for things they don't need. I handle all kinds of architectural tasks, from small home additions to bigger commercial projects. It’s a lot of drawing, re-drawing, and checking regulations. I try to stay organized, but with all the blueprints and site reports, things can get a bit cluttered. I usually start my day early before the phone starts ringing. It gives me time to think. Later on, I might be out meeting contractors or checking on a foundation somewhere. I don't have a big team or a flashy lobby. It’s just me doing the work. I think people appreciate that they can talk directly to the person actually drawing their house. It’s a simple business. I’ve lived in this town for years, so I know how the weather and the ground affect the buildings here. I just try to make sure everything I design is solid and makes sense for the person living there. It's just what I do.
