I’m Jagwinder, and I run my architecture practice out of House No. 201 in Phase-2. It’s basically a home office setup, which keeps things simple. I’ve been living and working in this part of town for years. Most of the time, I’m at my desk trying to figure out how to fit everything a client wants into the space they actually have. It’s a bit of a puzzle. Being in Phase-2 is nice because it’s a residential area, so it feels more personal than being in a big commercial building. People usually call before they come by since it’s a house. I do all the drawings myself, from the first rough sketches to the final blueprints. There isn't a big team here, just me and occasionally a helper if things get really backed up. I spend a lot of time out at construction sites too, checking if the builders are actually following the plans I gave them. They usually are, but you have to keep an eye on things. My office is full of old rolls of paper and sample bricks that I’ve collected over time. It’s a bit messy, but I know where everything is. I don't really do much advertising; people just hear about me from their neighbors or friends. It’s a steady way to work. If you’re looking for the place, it’s the one with the gate that squeaks a little. You can't miss it if you know the street.
