About Singh Harleen Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
The office is at House No.3056 in Sector 21/D, which is a fairly easy place to find once you know where the turn is. I spend a lot of time here at Singh Harleen Architect looking at maps and sketches. The room where I work has a lot of natural light, which helps when the power goes out, though it can get pretty warm in the summer months. Most of the time, the floor is covered in rolled-up blueprints that I haven't gotten around to filing yet. I don't really go for those high-end office looks. It's mostly just sturdy tables and a few chairs for when people come over to discuss their projects. Dealing with the local authorities takes up a good chunk of the week, so I’m often out of the house running errands or checking on site progress. When I’m back, I usually have to catch up on emails or fix something that didn't go quite right on a drawing. The neighbors are used to seeing people coming and going at odd hours. It’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep things organized. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just draw the lines and hope the builders follow them correctly. It’s a simple way of working, and it seems to suit this part of town just fine without any extra fluff or fancy talk. We just want the walls to be straight and the roofs to stay up.
