Priya Sood Architect

I’ve been working out of H.No.2050 in Extension-6 for a while now. Simmu Enclave is a nice enough spot in Kharar, and having the office here makes it easy for folks in Mohali to find me. It’s a home-based setup mostly. My desk is usually covered in blueprints and a few half-empty mugs of chai. People call me up when they're thinking of adding a room or starting a new house from scratch. I don't really do the big corporate presentations. Instead, we just sit down and look at the site dimensions. I spend my mornings checking on local sites and my afternoons doing the actual drawing. Some days the weather in Punjab makes it hard to get out, so I just stay in and work on the computer. It's just me and sometimes a helper. I try to keep things simple. If a plan doesn't work, we change it until it does. I've lived around here for a long time, so I know how the local authorities handle things and what the soil is like. That helps when we start digging. It’s not a flashy business, just Priya Sood Architect doing regular work for regular people. I like that I can walk to most of my meetings. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to ask for advice on a leaky roof or a boundary wall. I don't mind. It's a small community and word travels fast.
