About Prabhjeet Kaur Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
Setting up shop at 1040 in Sector 95-B was a practical choice more than anything else. It’s a quiet enough corner where I can focus on the drawings without too much noise from the main road. Most mornings start with me clearing off a space on the table that’s usually covered in pens and old scale rulers. Being an architect means my eyes are always a bit tired from looking at screens and paper all day. I’ve lived and worked around here long enough to know the local shortcuts and where to get the best snacks when I’m working late. The office is really just a room filled with books, rolls of blueprints, and a few half-dead plants I forget to water. I don’t have a big team or a fancy receptionist. It’s just me, Prabhjeet Kaur, handling the designs and talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes people drop by and we end up looking at sketches for hours. The walls are mostly covered in notes and sketches I’ve taped up so I don't forget things. Sector 95-B is a decent place to be based. It feels more like a home than a sterile office environment, which I think makes the work feel a bit more grounded. I spend a lot of time worrying about site levels and municipal codes, but that’s the job. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s what I do.
