About Naveen Kumar Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
I've been working out of House No.706 in Sector 16-D for a while now. It’s a quiet spot, which helps when you need to focus on drawings or figure out why a particular measurement isn’t lining up on the site. Most days, it’s just me and a couple of people helping out with the drafting. We aren't a big fancy firm with a glass front or a reception desk. Usually, people just knock on the door and we sit down in the front room to talk about what they need for their house or a small shop they’re building. Dealing with the authorities and getting plans approved takes up a lot of time, so I’m often out and about, but the real work happens here on the drawing table. My desk is usually covered in tracing paper and pens that have run out of ink. It gets a bit messy, but that's just how it goes when you're busy. I try to keep things straightforward. If a client wants something that won't work structurally, I tell them directly. There's no point in making things complicated just for the sake of it. Sector 16-D is a nice area, and having the office here makes it easy for folks nearby to just drop by. We don't have a big sign or anything. It's mostly just local people who have heard about me from their neighbors or friends. It's been like this for years, and it works for us. We're usually around most days, just keeping the projects moving.
