This office is situated out near Airport Road, specifically at the HQ CE Chandigarh Zone in the N Area. It’s a government-related setting, so things are a bit more formal in terms of the surroundings. There are gates and security to deal with before you get to the desk. The building itself is older, with high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors you don't see much anymore. My work as an architect here involves a lot of oversight and checking of plans for the zone. The desk is always covered in thick folders and official stamps. You can hear the planes taking off and landing nearby, which becomes a sort of background noise you eventually stop noticing. It’s not a place for quick walk-ins or casual chats. Everything follows a certain procedure and takes its own time. The windows look out onto the open areas of the base, which is a bit different from the crowded streets of the city center. We spend a lot of time reviewing technical specifications and making sure everything aligns with the required standards. It’s a steady, disciplined kind of work environment. There are no modern glass partitions or bean bags here. It’s just old-fashioned desks, filing cabinets, and a lot of serious planning. It feels like a small cog in a much larger machine, and that’s perfectly fine for the work we do. We just focus on the paperwork and the drawings that come across the desk every day.
