You’ll find us on the 1st Floor of S.C.O. 186-188 in Sector 17C. Being in the heart of Sector 17 means there is always something going on outside. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, and you can hear the bustle of the shops below all day long. Inside, it’s a typical architect’s den. We have rows of shelving filled with project files from years ago. The tables are large because we still like to spread out physical drawings even if most things are on the computer now. It gets a bit dusty with all the paper around, but that’s just part of the trade. We don't have any fancy art on the walls, just some old framed photos of buildings and a calendar that’s usually a month behind. The fluorescent lights hum a little, and the air conditioner struggles when it gets really hot in Chandigarh. People come in and out for meetings, and we usually have to clear off a chair for them to sit down. It’s a busy, functional space. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. We’re more concerned with making sure the dimensions are right and the permits are filed on time. Sector 17C is a convenient location for everyone, even if parking is a nightmare. It’s just where we’ve ended up and it works. We stay late most nights just to keep up with the workload and the various deadlines.
