Kirpal Catering

Kirpal Catering is located over at SCF-7 in Sector 27C. This part of Chandigarh has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of it for a good bit. We aren't a massive corporation with a bunch of departments. It’s mostly just us in the kitchen and the staff who go out to the venues. Most days start early with the vegetable trucks coming in. You can smell the spices from the street if the wind is right. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations for the office because we are usually out at a site or busy in the back. The floors might have a bit of flour on them and the phones ring at odd hours, but that’s how a catering place works. We handle the meals for different types of functions, mostly just local stuff around the sectors. It’s honest work, even if it gets exhausting standing on your feet for twelve hours. We’ve had the same guys working the stoves for years now, so they know the routines by heart. Sometimes things get hectic when two events fall on the same day, but we manage to get the pots moving. It’s not about being the flashiest name in the city, just about making sure the food is ready when the guests sit down. We just stay here in Sector 27 and do our job day in and day out. It's a simple life.
