Khalsa Food

Khalsa Food is located on Mandal Road in Sector 20, at house number 17. We’re basically a small kitchen setup where we cook simple meals every day. It’s not a restaurant with fancy menus or waiters. It’s more like the kind of food you’d eat at home if you didn't have time to cook it yourself. We handle a lot of orders for people living in the hostels and apartments nearby. Most days, we’re just busy chopping vegetables and getting the lentils ready. The kitchen gets really hot in the summer, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t use any special machines; it’s all done by hand mostly. Sector 20 is a busy area with a lot of people moving around, so we stay pretty active from lunch until late evening. Sometimes the delivery boys are waiting outside and it gets a bit crowded. We’ve had this place for a few years now. It started out very small, just one stove and a few pots. We’ve added a bit more equipment since then, but the way we cook hasn't really changed. We just try to make enough for everyone who wants a meal. We aren't trying to be famous or anything. We just like seeing people eat well and go about their day. The neighbors are nice and they often drop by just to say hello or ask what’s for dinner. It’s a good community to be a part of for us.
