About Kaur Prabhjeet Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
Working out of H.No.1041/2 in Sec 45B, I run my architecture practice, Kaur Prabhjeet Architect. It’s a modest setup. I converted part of the space into an office so I could work close to home. It’s filled with drafting tables and stacks of old projects. Sec 45B is a good area, fairly quiet, which is nice when I need to focus on a complicated set of drawings. I don't have a big staff. It's mostly me doing the heavy lifting, from the initial sketches to the final site inspections. I spend a lot of time on the phone with contractors and suppliers, trying to make sure everything arrives when it’s supposed to, though it rarely does. I don't use a lot of fancy jargon. I prefer to just explain things in plain English so everyone understands what’s happening with their project. Sometimes I’m out all day visiting sites, and other times I’m stuck here in the office dealing with municipal paperwork. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what I know. People usually find me through word of mouth. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and I’ve learned that being honest about timelines and costs is better than making big promises. My desk is usually covered in coffee mugs and rulers. It’s a real working space, not a showroom.
