About Chauhan Jaskaran Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Chandigarh
My office is set up at House No.919 in Phase-3B2. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a stiff business environment. I’ve been working as Chauhan Jaskaran Architect from this location for quite a while now. People usually find me through someone they know or a neighbor who had work done. I don't have a big sign out front or a lot of flashy ads on the internet. Most of my day is spent at the desk, drawing up plans or going through the local building codes. It’s not the most exciting stuff to talk about at a party, but it’s necessary if you want a house that actually works for a family. I like being in Phase-3B2 because it's a familiar neighborhood. I often walk to site visits if they are close enough by. Sometimes I have to explain to people why their dream balcony won't fit the budget or the physical space, which isn't always fun to do. But being honest from the start saves everyone a lot of trouble later on. The work involves a lot of patience. You draw something, change it, and then change it again. My desk is usually covered in coffee mugs and pens that ran out of ink. It’s just how I work best. I’m not part of a big firm, so you just deal with me directly. There’s no middleman or secretary to go through. It’s a simple way to run a business and it keeps things personal for everyone involved.
