Bedi Jasleen Kaur Architect

Our small studio is at 57/2 in Adarsh Nagar, over in Derabassi. It’s a quiet area mostly, which is good when you need to focus on drawing lines and calculating dimensions. Bedi Jasleen Kaur Architect is a local practice. We don't have a massive team or a skyscraper office. It's just a space where we work on house plans and small commercial bits. Derabassi is growing, and we see a lot of new stuff going up around us. We try to keep our work honest. If a client wants something that won't work, we just tell them plain and simple. We don't use marketing speak or try to sell people on "visionary" ideas. We just want to make sure the rooms are the right size and the roof doesn't leak. The office is usually filled with rolls of tracing paper and old blueprints from past jobs. We have a couple of desks and some chairs for when people come by to discuss their plots. It’s not a fancy setup. We often have tea while looking over the latest site photos. Sometimes the weather in Derabassi makes it hard to get out to the sites, but we manage. We’ve been here at Adarsh Nagar for a bit now, and we like being part of the local community. It’s just a regular workplace where we do our best to get the drawings right. We enjoy the process of turning a blank plot into a real building for someone.
