Baba Frozen Food(P) Ltd operates out of Plot 294 in the Phase II Industrial Area. Our whole day is pretty much spent dealing with the cold. Inside our facility, we have these massive walk-in freezers where we store all kinds of food products that have to stay at a certain temperature. It’s a bit of a shock to the system when you walk out of the summer heat and straight into a room that’s freezing cold. We spend a lot of time wearing heavy jackets even when everyone else outside is in t-shirts. We handle the storage and the moving of these frozen goods, making sure everything is labeled right and put in the correct section. There is a lot of paperwork involved because we have to keep track of every batch that comes in and every crate that goes out to the stores. The trucks pull up to the loading dock throughout the day, and we have to work fast to get the items inside before they start to thaw out. It’s a busy environment and there isn't much time for sitting around. We don't have any big mission statements posted on the walls; we just make sure the compressors are running and the food stays frozen like it’s supposed to for the people who buy it. It’s a constant cycle of checking dials and moving boxes throughout the shift.
