Working out of Darya Ganj isn't always easy because of the crowds, but Venus Organics has been at 2/5 Ansari Road for a long time. It’s an old part of the city. We deal with organic chemicals and different compounds. The office is usually filled with the smell of old paper and sometimes samples. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. Most of us have been here for years and we know the routine well. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or checking on deliveries. Darya Ganj has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that. There’s no big marketing team here. It’s just us handling the orders and making sure the stock is right. Sometimes the shipments get delayed at the port or in transit, and we have to explain that to people. It’s part of the job. We don’t have a flashy website or anything. If someone needs organics, they usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve dealt with us before. It's practical work. We eat lunch together when it's not too busy. The stairs in this building are a bit steep, so we get our exercise. It's a straightforward operation and we like it that way. No corporate nonsense, just chemicals and paperwork.
