Arora Mushroom Agency is located down in the basement at 16C in Mohansingh Place. If you know Baba Kharak Singh Marg, you know it’s a really central area in the city. The building is quite old and has a lot of history to it. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer heat, which is nice for us. It’s a bit of a maze downstairs with all the different little shops and offices. You have to look for our small sign to find us. We’ve been here for a long time. It’s a crowded space, filled with crates, boxes, and stacks of papers. We don’t have much in the way of natural light, so we rely on the old overhead bulbs all day long. The atmosphere is always busy because Mohansingh Place attracts a lot of people looking for all sorts of things. We hear the muffled sounds of the street above us, the cars and the people walking by. It’s a practical location for our agency. We handle all our mushroom business right from this small spot. It’s not a glamorous place at all, but it’s where we get everything done. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a big delivery comes in, but we make it work. We know most of the other shopkeepers in the basement. We grab tea from the same guy every single morning. It's just a regular, working-class setup for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office.
