Arbindo Textiles

We are located at 17-A in New Colony, which is right in the Model Basti area. It is just behind where the old Filimistan cinema used to be. Arbindo Textiles has been in this spot for many years. It is an old neighborhood and our shop fits right into the street. We have rolls of cloth stacked up almost to the ceiling. It is not a very organized look, but we know exactly where the cottons and the synthetic fabrics are kept. The street outside is very narrow and it is always full of rickshaws and people walking. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing person to help us. Most of our work is done by hand, just measuring and cutting fabric for the people who walk in. It gets quite dusty with all the little threads flying around the room. We have a couple of old wooden benches for the customers to sit on while they wait. Sometimes we sit there too and just watch the street when it is quiet. It is a slow kind of business but we like it that way. We are not looking to expand into some big shopping mall. We like being tucked away behind Filimistan. It feels like the real part of the city to us. We usually close up the shop when the sun goes down. Just a regular textile shop at 17-A.
