The Sensation

The Sensation is up on the fourth floor of Suchet Chambers, right in the Naiwala area of Karol Bagh. If you know Karol Bagh, you know how busy the lanes can get with all the shops and people. Our office is at 1224/5 and it’s usually packed with samples and fabrics. We work on a lot of different designs and spend our time talking to tailors and suppliers. The building itself is older, and the stairs are a bit steep if you aren't used to them. We’ve been here for a few years now, just trying to make a living in the garment trade. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a place where the actual work happens behind the scenes. We often have boxes stacked up in the corners waiting to be sent out to retailers. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we’re trying to meet a big order and the phones won't stop ringing. We don’t really do much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth in the market. The tea seller downstairs comes up a few times a day, which is always a highlight for the staff. It’s a small team here, so everyone does a bit of everything, from packing to answering the phone. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out on time. It's a typical Karol Bagh business, noisy and busy but we like the energy of the place. We just keep at it every day.
