Manokamna

If you’re walking down Araskashan Road in Paharganj, look for the Great Way Public School. We are right across from it, on the second floor of 7972/6. It’s a lively part of the city, that’s for sure. With the Gurudwara nearby, there’s always people around and plenty of noise. Manokamna is our little spot in the middle of all that. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow, and we’ve had to carry a lot of stuff up them over the years. Inside, it’s usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples everywhere. We aren't big on decorating. We just have what we need to get the job done. Paharganj is the kind of place where something is always happening, and being on the second floor lets us see a bit of the street life below. We’ve been here a while and we’re used to the energy of the neighborhood. It’s not always the easiest place to get to because of the traffic, but we like it. Most of our day is spent talking to people who stop by or dealing with suppliers. We don't follow a strict corporate manual. We just handle things as they come up. It’s a real place with real people. Some days the tea is better than others, and sometimes the power goes out, but we just make it work. We are just part of the local scenery now.
