You can find Khandelwal International at 1317, D.B. Gupta Road. We are right in the heart of Karol Bagh, which means it is never quiet around here. There is a constant stream of traffic and people walking by our front door. The building is one of those classic ones you see in this part of Delhi. Inside, the space is a bit tight because we have so many samples and boxes stacked up. We’ve tried to organize it, but new things come in every day. The office has a bit of an old-fashioned feel with heavy wooden desks and chairs that have been around since the business started. We don't have a lot of modern decor. Instead, we have shelves filled with ledgers and reference books. The light comes in through a couple of high windows that are hard to reach for cleaning. We usually have a pot of tea going on the small stove in the back. Our workday is filled with a lot of talking. We are either on the phone or talking to people who drop by the office. It’s a very social way to do business. We don't use a lot of complicated systems; we mostly rely on our notebooks and our memory. It works for us. By the time we leave in the evening, the street lights are on and the market is still in full swing.
