You can find us at the Flatted Factories Complex in Jhandewalan, specifically in unit B-7. It’s an industrial sort of place on Rani Jhansi Road. State Art Corporation isn't a shop where you go to browse; it’s more of a place where things actually get made. The building is large and shared with a lot of other small manufacturing units. You can always hear the sound of machines or tools from somewhere in the hallway. Our space is divided into a work area and a small corner for the office stuff. There is usually a bit of sawdust or metal scraps on the floor, depending on what we are working on that week. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our visitors are people we already do business with, so we don't worry about the decor. We have a couple of large tables for assembly and some heavy-duty shelving for the finished pieces. The windows are high up and let in some light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. It’s a bit of a maze to find our door if you haven't been here before. We spend our days mostly in silence, just focusing on the manual work. When we need a break, we go out to the common area for a snack. It’s a tough, honest environment where we just get our hands dirty and finish the orders. That's just how we operate.
