Our place is at 1607, Main Bazar, right across from the Sapna Hotel in Paharganj. If you know the area, you know it is always packed with people, tourists, and carts moving back and forth. It’s a constant buzz of activity that never really stops. Our shop is right in the middle of it all, squeezed into a spot that we’ve filled with as much stock as possible. There isn't much room to move around once the crates arrive, so we’ve become experts at stacking things vertically. The walls are lined with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We spend our days checking manifests and making sure every package is labeled correctly for where it needs to go. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, and the noise from the bazar is always there in the background, but we don’t mind it much. We have a small bench near the back where we keep a water cooler and some plastic cups. It’s a busy life in Paharganj, and we are just one part of the machine. Most of the time, our hands are busy packing or unpacking, and the floor is usually covered in bits of tape and cardboard. We don’t try to look fancy because there’s no time for that when you’re trying to keep up with the pace of the Main Bazar. It’s just us, working hard in a crowded little corner.
