You can find us at Shop No-4 in the Ram Nagar Market area, right there on Qutab Road. Pahar Ganj is always a bit of a mess with the rickshaws and the crowds, but it’s where we belong. Our shop is small and packed with ironwork and forged items. It gets pretty loud with all the hammering and the traffic noise from outside blending together. We have been in this market long enough to know all the other shopkeepers by name. Most of our day is spent handling heavy metal pieces and talking to customers who need something specific made or fixed. It isn't a clean job. Your hands stay dark from the metal and the soot most of the time. We have piles of inventory in every corner, and sometimes you have to step over things just to get to the back. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that move the hot air around. We open early because that’s when the deliveries arrive before the roads get too blocked up. People come to us because they know we are here and we’ve been doing this for years. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just walk in or call the shop phone. It is a simple way of doing business, just face to face. We focus on the forge and making sure the metal is right. It's just honest work in a busy part of Delhi.
