Shivalik Handicrafts

Our shop is located at 61/11 on Ramjas Road. If you know Karol Bagh, you know it's a crowded place with lots of traffic and people always on the move. Shivalik Handicrafts has been operating from this small space for a long time. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking closely, but we like the neighborhood. We spend most of our days working on different handicraft pieces. Some days are busier than others, especially when we have a big load to finish. The walls are lined with tools and materials we use every day. We don’t spend much on decorating the place because the work is what matters. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. The street outside is always noisy with cars and vendors, which is just part of being in Karol Bagh. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our little corner on Ramjas Road stays pretty much the same. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. It’s just a few of us making sure things get done right. We deal with all sorts of items, mostly stuff people use in their homes or for gifts. It’s a practical business. We don't have fancy meetings. We just talk about what needs to be made next and then we do it. The rhythm of the work suits us.
