Our office is located at Plot 7 on Arya Samaj Road in Sector 44. It is a busy area with a lot of other businesses and small shops around. We spend most of our time on the phone or dealing with various shipping documents. Exporting things involves a lot of waiting around for customs and containers to be ready. We are not a big corporation, just a few of us working out of this rented space. The desks are always covered in stacks of papers and old folders. It is not a very quiet place because of the constant traffic noise outside on Arya Samaj Road. We have been here for a few years now. Most of the day is spent checking various schedules and making sure the trucks are going to the right port on time. We do not have a showroom or anything like that since we mainly deal with moving things internationally. The internet goes out sometimes which is a real pain when we have important emails to send to people. We just try to get the goods from point A to point B without too much trouble. It is a lot of logistics and talking to people in different time zones. Sometimes we have to stay late to catch someone on the phone in a different country. It is a straightforward business, really. We just keep track of what is moving and where it is supposed to go next.
