Sanmati Overseas

Sanmati Overseas is based at 4435-36/47 Ansari Road. It’s an old part of the city, and Ansari Road is always crowded with delivery trucks and people moving boxes. Our office is a bit cramped because we have so many files and samples stacked up. We deal with a lot of international stuff, so the phones are always ringing at odd hours. Sometimes it’s someone calling from another time zone while we’re just trying to eat lunch. The building has high ceilings and these old-fashioned windows that don’t always close all the way. We have a couple of desks pushed together in the middle of the room. It’s a lot of typing and checking lists to make sure everything is going where it should. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything like that. People who need us usually know exactly where to find us. The tea here is always too sweet, but we drink it anyway because it keeps us going through the afternoon. There’s a lot of dust from the road that gets in, so we’re always dusting off the computers and the stacks of paper. It’s just a regular trading office where we do our business and try to stay organized. When we leave, the street is still busy with the night market starting up and the noise of the city never stops.
