We are based at 1723/57 on Abdul Aziz Road in Karol Bagh. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how packed the streets are. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have rolls of fabric leaning against every wall and stacked on the floor. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We spend our days measuring out meters of cloth for customers who come in from all over. The lights are bright so people can see the colors properly, but it’s still a crowded little space. We don't have a lot of room for a back office, so we do all our bookkeeping right at the front counter. You can hear the noise from the street all day—rickshaws, people shouting, and the general bustle of Karol Bagh. It gets really busy on the weekends. We try to keep the different types of cotton and silk sorted, but sometimes things get mixed up when it’s hectic. The staff here has been with us for a long time and they know exactly where each roll is hidden. We don't use any fancy sales talk. People just come in, feel the fabric, and tell us how much they need. We wrap the bundles in brown paper and tie them with string. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. We’ve been on Abdul Aziz Road for years and have seen plenty of shops come and go.
