About Rockman Jewellers – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Central Delhi
If you walk down Wazir Singh Street in Pahar Ganj, you’ll find us at number 815. Pahar Ganj is a crowded place with narrow lanes and a lot of history, and Rockman Jewellers is right in the thick of it. The shop is small and packed with tools and benches where the work actually happens. It’s not like those big malls where everything is shiny and quiet. Here, you can hear the hammers and the noise from the street coming through the open door. We spend our hours at the bench, working with silver and gold, often with a magnifying glass held to one eye. The air smells a bit like metal and polishing wax. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. We just make jewelry and sell it to whoever walks in or orders a piece. Some days it’s very busy with tourists wandering in from the nearby hotels, and other days it’s just us sitting and working on repairs. The street outside is always full of motorcycles and people pushing carts. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how Pahar Ganj is. We like being here because it feels real and grounded. The furniture in the shop is old, and the floors have seen a lot of feet over the years. We just keep doing what we know how to do best. The old fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit, but it keeps us cool enough while we work on the intricate pieces.
