Ratan Coffee Shop

Ratan Coffee Shop is at 175 D in Kamla Nagar. It is a small place that has been part of the neighborhood for a while. We have a few small tables and some old chairs that have seen better days. The coffee machine is usually humming in the background all day. Kamla Nagar is full of students and shoppers, so we get a real mix of people coming through the door. Some people stay for a long time reading the newspaper, while others just grab something and leave. We don't have a big menu or anything complicated. The walls have a few old pictures, but mostly it's just plain paint. Our address at 175 D is easy to reach from the main market area. The staff is just a couple of us who know how the regulars like their drinks. We spend a lot of time wiping down tables and clearing away cups. It is not a silent place; there is always the sound of people talking or the noise from the street outside. We don't try to be a modern cafe with fancy decorations. We just keep the lights on and the coffee ready. It feels like a second home to some of the people who live nearby. We open every day and stay until the evening when the student crowd thins out. Sometimes we run out of milk earlier than expected and have to run to the store down the lane.
