Barista Coffee Co. Ltd.

Our coffee shop is located at 33, Nehru Kutia, right in the Malka Ganj area. It is a place where students from the nearby university often hang out when they have gaps between their classes. We spend most of our day grinding beans and steaming milk behind the counter. The smell of coffee is everywhere in the room and it usually stays on our clothes even after we go home. Malka Ganj is a busy spot so there is always someone coming in for a quick drink or just to sit for a bit. We have some wooden tables and chairs that have seen better days but they are comfortable enough. The light comes in through the front window in the afternoon and makes the place feel a bit warmer. We aren't trying to be the fanciest spot in Delhi, just a place where you can get a cup without waiting too long. Sometimes the music is a little loud because the staff likes it that way, but nobody seems to mind much. We keep the counters wiped down and the machines running all day long. It gets quite loud during the lunch hour when everyone shows up at once. We just keep pouring the coffee and moving through the orders. It’s a simple routine that we have been doing at this Nehru Kutia location for a while now. We usually have to sweep the floor a few times a day because of the dust from the street.
