Ramkishen & Sons is located at 18, Marina Arcade. It’s a place with a lot of history. We’ve been here for generations. The arcade is an old building, and our shop has been in the same spot for a long time. It’s a family business. You’ll usually find one of the family members here every day. We don’t have a big team or a human resources department. It’s just us. The shop is filled with various items we’ve gathered. It’s not organized like a modern supermarket. You might have to look around a bit to find what you need. We like it that way. Marina Arcade has a certain feel to it that you don't get in the new malls. We have many regular customers who have been coming to us for years. We know their families and they know ours. It’s a simple way of doing business. We don’t spend money on marketing or fancy signs. Our reputation is built on being here every day. The office part is just a small desk in the corner. We do our accounts by hand or on an old computer. It’s a quiet life in the arcade. We open the shutters in the morning and close them in the evening. There’s no corporate pressure here. We just want to keep the shop going like our fathers did. It’s a bit dusty, but it’s home to us.
