Prakash'S Craft

Prakash’S Craft is located right in the middle of the madness that is Main Bazar in Pahar Ganj. Our address is 4478/15, and if you’ve ever walked down this street, you know it’s full of tourists, backpacks, and cows. Our shop is a bit small, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with different crafts. We have shelves that go all the way up, and sometimes we need a ladder just to reach something a customer wants to see. The floor is often covered with bubble wrap or cardboard because we are always packing things to send away. It’s a lot of work keeping everything dusted because of all the dirt that blows in from the street. We don't have a fancy sign or anything, just the usual boards. Most of our day is spent talking to travelers or local traders who are looking for something specific. We sit on small stools and drink tea while we wait for the next person to come in. It gets very hot in the summer, and the overhead fan just moves the warm air around, but we are used to it. The noise from the market never really stops until very late at night. We’ve been here a long time, and we just like the rhythm of the bazar. It’s a simple life, selling handmade things and chatting with whoever stops by. We just try to keep the inventory straight and the customers happy enough.
