Prakashn'S Craft

We are right in the middle of Main Bazar in Pahar Ganj. Being at 4478/15 means we are surrounded by all the noise and energy of the market. Prakashn'S Craft has been here for years. The shop is narrow and deep, packed with all sorts of things. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of stock. We don't have a fancy layout. Things are just where they fit. You can hear the motorbikes and the people outside all day long. It’s never quiet. We usually have a few people working in the back. The shelves are old and look like they’ve seen better days. We don't spend money on making it look like a boutique. It’s just a workshop and a shop combined. We get a lot of dust from the street, so we are always wiping things down. It is hard work but we are used to it by now. We don’t have a big corporate office. Just this spot in Pahar Ganj. Sometimes the electricity flickers when it’s busy. We just keep going. It’s a local way of doing things. No big speeches, no polished slogans. We just sell what we make and try to stay busy in the bazaar. We have a small stool near the entrance where we sit when the shop is empty. The ceiling fan makes a clicking sound but we don't even hear it anymore.
