Phoolwari

Phoolwari is situated right at Gate No 7 of Pragati Maidan in Delhi, with the pin code 110001. If you’ve ever been to the big exhibitions or the trade fairs, you know how hectic it gets around here. We are right in the middle of all that chaos. Our place is not a quiet retreat. It’s a busy spot for people who are on their feet all day looking at stalls. We’ve seen Pragati Maidan change a lot over the years, with new buildings coming up and old ones being moved. We stay here through it all. The space we have is purely functional. We need to be able to serve people quickly because they usually have somewhere to be. It’s not a place for a long, fancy dinner with lots of courses. We just focus on providing something simple that people can eat before they head back into the crowd. The heat and the dust in Delhi can be quite something, especially during the big events, but we just keep going. We don't have a marketing department or any glossy brochures. We just rely on the fact that we are right there when people get hungry. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when the fairs are at their peak, but we enjoy the energy of the crowds. Every day is different, and we like that about being at Gate 7. We just do our best to keep everyone fed.
