Paradise Emporium Exporters

Paradise Emporium Exporters is tucked away at 1152, Gali Nayak. If you can find 6 Tooti Chowk in the Pahar Ganj Main Bazar, you are basically there. It is a very loud and crowded place to work. There are always motorcycles squeezing past and tourists looking for a deal on something. We have boxes piled up to the ceiling most days. We do exporting, mainly focused on things we source from around the area. It is cramped inside, but we know where everything is kept. We have a small table where we sit and drink chai while we talk to suppliers about their new stock. The lights flicker sometimes because the wiring in these old Pahar Ganj buildings is a bit of a mess. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that squeak constantly. It gets very hot in the summer, so we keep the door open. We’ve been here for years, watching the shops around us change owners, but we stay put in our little corner. We focus on getting our shipments out through the narrow lanes, which is always a challenge for the delivery carts. It’s a lot of shouting and negotiating with the drivers. We don't use any fancy software, just a big notebook where we write down what goes out and what comes in. It’s simple and it works for us. We like the energy of the bazaar even when it’s totally exhausting.
