Our shop is No. 4915 in Anaj Mandi, right at 6 Tooti Chowk in the Main Bazaar of Paharganj. If you’ve ever walked through here, you know it’s a bit of a maze. The streets are narrow and always packed with tourists, vendors, and locals. Our place is tucked into one of these busy rows. We spend most of our time surrounded by stock. Boxes are piled up in the corners and items are laid out on the shelves. It’s not a perfectly organized showroom; it’s more of a working shop where things are constantly being moved around. We have a small stool near the front where one of us usually sits to keep an eye on the street. The floor is old stone and the ceiling is a bit low. We get a lot of dust because the doors stay open all day to let the air in. We talk to all sorts of people who wander in. Some are just looking, others know exactly what they want. It’s noisy outside with the honking and the shouting, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle the inventory ourselves and pack things up as they go out. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively way to work. We don’t have a fancy website or a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be.
